There's been plenty of solo projects from members of Hot Chip since their last album In Our Heads. Joe Goddard released material under his own name and also released a new 2 Bears record while Alexis Taylor released his debut album Await Barbarians. They've got that all out of their systems now, however, and are back to working as Hot Chip. Huarache Lights is the first single from their forthcoming album Why Make Sense? It's exactly what you'd expect to hear from a Hot Chip tracks with drawling vocals, organic instrumentation crossed with electronic stylings and an after-dark aesthetic. Their set to play a number of festivals this year but there's a big gap in their touring schedule right when Splendour In The Grass is. Sound the rumour alarms.
