Hannah Diamond is finally back with a new single True and it feels like a proper comeback.
True is her first release in two years and while stylistically it finds her right back in her saccharine, kitsch pop lane there's some real emotional depth here.
Diamond told PAPER this is the "saddest song" she's ever written and that comes through. True has a desolate backdrop that expands synth-led chorus that packs on the emotion, taking her somewhere she's never really been before in her songwriting.
We're still hanging out for Diamond's debut album and this only increases our anticipation.
