A bit of this, a bit of that.

10. LAUV - Chasing Fire

LAUV has followed up a few mid-tempos with a huge pop song, driven by pulsating bass. He comes out of his shell on this track more than ever before and shows he could reach superstar status.

9. Tinashe - Me So Bad (Feat. Ty Dolla $ign & French Montana)

Tinashe has dropped the third track from Joyride enlisting more hip-hop features. This time around, she's headed for a dancehall vibe and while Dolla $ign is great, French Montana feels like an unnecessary inclusion.

8. Snakehips - For The F^_^k Of It (Feat. Jeremih & Aminé)

Snakehips gather an A-grade team of Jeremih and Aminé for this light, breezy cut that's perfectly aimed at summer. It's nothing tricky, just good fun and there's nothing wrong with that.

7. Sigrid - I Don't Want To Know

Sigrid has dropped another track from her forthcoming Raw EP, this time giving us a sprawling ballad I Don't Want To Know. We've heard Sigrid in power ballad mode but we've never heard her quite so raw which is funny given her last track was called Raw.

6. Tyler The Creator - Okra

Tyler The Creator has dropped this loosie out of nowhere and it's some A+ Tyler work. He's back to his chest-beating best, leaving behind the mellower tones of last year's Flower Boy.

5. Kacey Musgraves - Happy & Sad

Kacey Musgraves' third album is out today and it's one of the best records of the year so far. Happy & Sad is one of many highlights, poignantly capturing that feeling where you can't quite explain the emotion you're feeling. Beautiful songwriting.

4. MØ - Nostalgia

has returned with her first new single of the year Nostalgia. It's an exciting, club-aimed single that manages to conjure up all those feelings its title promises.

3. DJDS - No Pain (Feat. Khalid)

LA production duo DJDS have teamed up with Khalid once again for No Pain. Charlie Wilson and Charlotte Day Wilson are also on the soulful new track which sees them go for something more mid-tempo. With the organs and powerful voices, there's something heavenly about this track, coming just in time for the Easter long weekend.

2. Cardi B - Be Careful

Cardi B's third drop from her forthcoming album Invasion Of Privacy is a mid-tempo that sees her take a more melodic tone. Lyrically, she's still on it with classic lines like, "Gave you TLC, you wanna creep and shit."

1. Hayley Kiyoko - What I Need (Feat. Kehlani)

Hayley Kiyoko released her debut album What I Need today and it features this absolute pearler. Kehlani jumps on board for a slick R&B/pop anthem that's not only the best on the album but one of the best pop drops of the year.
