Samantha Urbani, formerly the lead-singer of Brooklyn band Friends, is forging ahead with her solo career, announcing a debut EP and dropping a new song.
The EP Policies Of Power will be out 18th August and it will feature this newie Hints & Implications which sounds as if it was born in the back of a dark, New York alley in the '80s.
It's a nostalgic jam but it still feels present, elevated by layered, thundering choruses and nuanced verses.
Urbani has always been a great songwriter and hopefully by stepping out on her own she'll be able to prove that further.
