In two weeks time and in what is shaping up to be another blockbuster day for new music on September 30th, BANKS' sophomore album The Altar will be released. In what appears to be one last cut before the it's release, the alt-dark pop songstress has released a a stripped back ballad To The Hilt.

If you have followed The Altar's releases thus far then you would already know that BANKS is by no means holding anything back on this forthcoming record. Adding this new cut, lyrically The Altar is channeling some pretty deep emotions. She goes deep on this one again singing lines like, "All those times you warmed my hand", "Hated you for leavin' me" and "I miss you on my team". To The Hilt is easily BANKS' most stripped back release to date, with most of the song consisting of her voice and a gloomy piano.

The Altar is out September 30th.
