ZHU Drops Last Cut Before Release Of Debut Album

The time is nigh, it's almost ZHU season (yes, we have made this a thing). Ahead of the release of his debut album which drops this coming Friday, dance music's favourite mystery man ZHU has released the final cut from his debut album Generation Why.

The track is titled Hometown Girl and it yet again offers something a little different from that mainstay deep, sexy electronic sound we have come to love. A month ago we were given the albums title track Generationwhy, which presumably spawned from commercialized label pressure. The track drew a lot of criticism for lacking in that 'sex & finess' that makes ZHU one of most exciting names in electronic dance music. The title track felt un-ZHU like and therefore leaned more towards the Pop side of dance music. This new cut, Hometown Girl, feels very much the same.

Lyrically, however, it offers more than Generationwhy. With Hometown Girl once again showcasing the smooth and crisp vocals of the dance music enigma. Hometown Girl offers a vibing blend of summery and deep house, that will once again prove to be another commercial hit.

ZHU's debut album Generation Why is due for release this coming Friday through Mind Of A Genius and can be pre-ordered here.
