Francis And The Lights featured on Chance's The Rapper's Summer Friends a month or so back and as it turns out he was actually sampling his own song for it. That song is simply called Friends and it's surfaced today in all its beauty.
It's a minimal, auto-tune heavy masterpiece that features an epic production team including Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, Benny Blanco, Rostam Batmanglij, Ariel Rechtshaid and Cashmere Cat. Yep, that's basically every producer who has made a significant contribution to pop music in the last year or so.
Kanye and Vernon both feature in the beautifully sparse video clip which features haunting choreography and longing stares.
