The iconic Sydney Opera House has hosted some pretty special shows already this year from Disclosure’s dancefloor stormer of a set to Four Tet’s all-encompassing lights and sound show but this newly announced show looks set to be the best yet. Samsung is teaming up with Vice for SOUND + VISION which will see Empress Of, Banoffee, Oscar Key Sung and Charles Murdoch take to the stage accompanied by visuals provided by artists Nonotak, Prue Stent and Tin & Ed.

This will be Empress Of‘s only Sydney show and is likely to be a very special one with her brand of bounding electro-pop set to be accompanied by the visual work of Nonotak. The New York artist’s debut album Me landed a spot in our top 10 favourite albums of 2015.

Melbourne electro-R&B champions Banoffee and Oscar Key Sung will team up with Australian photo surrealist Prue Stent for a special one-off performance. Banoffee and Key Sung are long time collaborators with an undeniable chemistry that’s going to be pretty hard not to be wooed by when they’re standing on the stage of the Opera House.

In addition to both of those performance, Future Classic’s Charles Murdoch will perform alongside visuals by design duo Tin & Ed. Murdoch released his critically-acclaimed debut album Point at the end of last year – an intricate, expansive piece of electronica with guest vocals by Key Sung, WAFIA and Ta-Ku.

As if things couldn’t get any more impressive, new media artist Joe Crossley will be using Samsung technology to fuse the sound and visuals together with motion sensors, midi triggers and audio manipulation.
