Perth-based Koi Child have announced their debut self-titled LP, as well as releasing the second track off said LP. Going by the name 1-5-9, named after the intervals in the bassline as well as the address of the rehearsal studio where the track was written, it's soaked in their telltale jazz-infused big band aesthetic, heightened by frontman Shannon Patterson's impressive lyrical flow. Judging from this latest track and its predecessor, Black Panda, the album is going to be ???, a fact only reinforced with the knowledge that it's being produced by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.

The seven piece outfit have promised the 14-track record, out 18 March, will encompass “warm dubby chords, wandering bass lines, crunching drums and masterful lyricism”.
