Jesse Rose is a true pioneer of house music. For nearly two decades he's been engrossed in music whether that be throwing club night in Bristol in the '90s, spinning Chicago house or Detroit techno in London or remixing for Hot Chip or Riton. Still in 2015, he's bringing the freshest music to clubs all around the world while still dropping new tracks.

This year he's remixed for Childish Gambino, unveiled originals Touch 'N' Tease and Play That and has also collaborated with Claude VonStroke on Bare Mountain. After so long, he's still firing at the top of his game so it makes complete sense that he makes a playlist for us of his favourite tunes right now given he's a tastemaker as much as a producer. He's put together ten of his current favourites covering everyone from Jimmy Edgar to Oliver Dollar.

Read why he chose each song and listen below.

City Spirit - The Good (Part 1)
Just really dope house music for the heads, not big drops, just purely great groove. Played with Kenny Dope at ade and saw him digging this one.

Dick Johnson - In My Bones
English producer living in New Zealand and all round nice guy Magic J aka Dick Johnson has been producing for my play it down label since it started and he always hits the nail on the head.

Urban Soul - Alright (Gred Remix)
A classic remixed by one of the dj’s that has only in recent years got the credit he deserves. Gerd is a champion of the German house and techno scene.

Kask - The Right Way
I don’t know anything about this producer or producers but i do know that everything i get is spot on. One for the late night sets.

Jimmy Edgar - Let Me Tell U
Take a classic vocal sample, put some chunky beats underneath it and watch the crowd go mental.

Brillstein - How About No
Mike Brillstein is also known as the mayor of los angeles. One of the few people born in the city and resides at all the dopest parties. He’s been producing for play it down for a few years and give it some of that Chicago funk i love so much.

Jesse Rose - Chocolate (Feat. Troze) (Christian Nielsen Remix)
Christian has the most solid beats and here he adds some sort of early daft punk sound to take this track to a whole new place.

Hear it here.

Oliver Dollar - Shout Away
Been playing this for ages and always works. Big tune alert for sure on his new label Industry Standard.

Gene Farris - The Way U Like
What to say… just a massive tune in the style of ‘sandwiches’ from a Chicago legend.

Sean Miller - Malabar
I’m currently working on a mix compilation for one of my favourite clubs and had finished the track selection when I heard this and had to get it on. Just pure dirty grooves.

Jesse Rose is on tour right now in Australia. Check out the dates below.
