KLPin

KLP is the host of triple j's House Party serving up some of the freshest tunes every Saturday night to a hungry triple j audience. But not only is she playing the best tunes though, she's also making them. For the past two years she's been uploading killer tracks onto her Soundcloud as well as touring around the country with the likes of Goldfields and Young Franco. Her latest track Recover is perhaps also her best. It's a perky ode to rebuilding yourself from a broken friendship and features a verse from one of Australia's finest MC's Remi.

From Recover to her own mixes, it's clearly apparent that KLP has her finger on the pulse musically. That's why it's no surprise that she's compiled a playlist for us full of the best new tunes. There are some favourites and a few discoveries to be made in here. interns favourites Neon Indian, Elizabeth Rose and Set Mo get a nod from KLP and while she's been modest by not including her own track in here, we've included it below because we think it deserves a spin or five.

Read why she chose each song after the jump.

Claptone - The Only Thing
This whole record is so solid it's hard to even pick a fave. This one comes close though.

Neon Indian - Slumlord
I'm actually supporting Neon Indian in December when he comes to Australia, can't wait to hear this live.

Set Mo - Chasing Forever
Did someone say summer?!

Elizabeth Rose - Shoulda Coulda Woulda
I went on the Bali Songwriters Camp with Elizabeth and M-Phazes, and I remember hearing this song the first day they started writing it. So cool to hear the final thing now.

Eats Everything - Dancing (Again!) (Feat. Tiga vs. Audition)
Whoa whoa whoa. Head to the middle of the D Floor and let go to this.

Imiuru - Be With You
This is such a cruisey vibe track. It rolls and rolls on.

Leisure - Got It Bad
I want to play this on repeat from a rooftop with a cocktail in my hand as the sun sets.

Rufus - Like An Animal
Can these guys just put out another album already and blow everyone’s minds away! Such a tune.

Art Vs. Science - Tired Of Pretending
If you haven't seen these guys live yet, do yourself a favour and get to a show.

Riva Starr - The Loft
When I first heard this I couldn't wait to play it in a club. I've since played it out in nearly every set and it goes down a treat!

KLP is heading out on tour with Neon Indian in December. Check out the details here.
