Bloc Party Change Direction On New Track 'The Love Within'

Frontman Kele Okereke and guitarist Russell Lissack are the only two original members remaining in Bloc Party who have worked on the band's fifth album and it seems they've taken the opportunity to switch things up a bit. The Love Within is the first track to be dropped from the new record and it sees them take on a dance-based aesthetic more inline with Kele's solo work. Woozy synths and a thudding beat drive the track which is a million miles away from anything that was found on their last record Four.

Despite all its differences with previous work it still bursts into a signature Bloc Party chorus reminiscent of their debut Silent Alarm. For the first time in a long time the band sound fresh and revived which is a positive sign for the record which is due out early 2016. The band are due here at the end of the year for a headline slot at Falls Festival and Southbound plus a few sideshows.
