Arca Has Dropped 'Soichiro', The First Taste Of Album Number Two

London via Venezuela producer Arca was the man behind one of 2014's key releases Xen. It was a demonic, haunting electronic record that was sonically unmatched by anything else we heard last year. Three months before that record was released he contributed to FKA Twigs' groundbreaking LP1 and has since nabbed production credits on Björk's stunning Vulnicura and Kelela's forthcoming Hallucinogen EP.

On top of all that, he's found the time to work on a follow-up to Xen, less than a year after its release. Soichiro is said to be the first single off his forthcoming sophomore record Mutant and it's an expectantly stirring track. It's an atmospheric track that builds and builds with industrial sounds paired with thrilling murmurs. We're given some reprive from the onslaught (in the best possible way) of sound in the middle-part when everything drops out and we're left just with tropical-sounding synths. He continues to layer from there once again, delivering a stunning finale. Phenomenal stuff once again from Arca.
