British rapper Little Simz has been on fire for the better part of two years. She's dropped EP after EP and delivered a number of tight features, but now she's finally ready to release her debut album A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons. There's no release date yet but we do have an indication of the direction of it now by way of Wings. Simz insists that there are no singles off this album so call this track what you want but we know it's one thing and that's brilliant.

She first debuted a sweeping, orchestral version of it on YouTube before debuting the album version of it with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. While there's not a huge amount of difference between the two version, the stripped-back version gives us the chance to see Simz in action. She is such a captivating performer and commands the stage effortlessly in front of a bunch of musicians. It's definitely not a pop tune but if Kendrick proved anything this year it's that you can get your music in front of a huge audience if you stay true to yourself and it feels like that's exactly what Simz is doing on Wings.

Head to around the 47 minute mark here to hear the album version.
