The week has finally come to a close, Saturday is here but your iTunes library is looking embarrassingly outdated. Do not fret, we have got your weekend jams covered with our first ever interns’ SATURDAY MIX. Showcasing some of the best new mixes from the week, we aim to tailor to all your musical wants and needs; whether you want to wind down, entertain friends or get the blood pumping for a 3am bender – pending lock-outs don’t kill your vibe, we’ve got your back.

Panama Wedding-Mix: Music To Cook Dinner To

The wine is poured and the mood candles are lit. If you have chosen to spend this chilly winter night in, nestled up in you Snuggie, then this is your perfect cosy playlist. New York-based Panama Wedding have whipped up this perfect mix to cook to, to stir, to bake and shake to, or just stare hypnotically into a lit fire on the couch. Self confessed foodies, this alternative indie/rock 5-piece serves up a smorgasbord of old favourites; Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan – the gang is all there. Dig in!

Jamie XX – London Rooftop: The Warm Up

You have decided to go out, good on you! Its Summer somewhere else in the world and Jamie XX is outside having a beer with his mates. You should probably do the same. This hour mix is a delight for the senses, with a video on top of Young Turks headquarters in London for a Boiler Room DJ set, all decked-out with pretty lights and bunting. What can only be described as a “A homage to London… an honorary whip through the nostalgic touchstones of UK club music, dashed also with some new material.” Best served with a side of chips and Pimms.

Porter Robinson – Radio 1 Essential Mix: Pass It On

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what we like to call the “Pass It On” mix. 70 songs in 120 minutes; each and every minute worth sharing with your friends. Just look at the track list – Chrome Sparks, CHVRCHES, Nero, Daft Punk, Panama, Touch Sensitive… If you need an education on the current direction of electronic music, then here it is. If you care to venture out, go get lost in China Town tonight with Porter RobinsonYeo and this epic mix.
